Christmas design does not have to mean the same bright red and green every year. A good palette makes a card, a social post or a shop window look planned, not thrown together. Below are five Christmas color palettes with HEX codes you can copy straight into Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator or any design app.
How to use these palettes
Each palette has five colors. A simple way to use them:
- Main color: the background or the biggest area.
- Second color: headings and large shapes.
- Accent color: buttons, prices, small details. Use it sparingly.
- Light and dark neutral: text and breathing space.
A useful rule of thumb is roughly 60% main color, 30% second color and 10% accent. It is a starting point, not a law, so adjust it to your design.

Screen colors vs printed colors
HEX codes are made for screens. When you print, the same HEX code can look different depending on the printer, the paper or vinyl, and the ink. Before a large print run:
- Ask your printer for a printed proof and check it in normal daylight.
- For signs and vinyl, compare against a physical color chart or swatch book, not only your monitor.
- Keep your file colors the same everywhere, so every reprint matches.
Make the palettes work for you
Pick one palette and use it on everything for the season: your social posts, your shop window, your price tags and your printed flyers. Using the same colors everywhere makes your brand easy to recognize.
